Meaning of (Allah is) firmly established on the Throne !
حدثنا محمد بن موسى بن المتوكل، قال: حدثنا عبدالله بن جعفر الحميري، عن أحمد بن محمد، عن الحسن بن محبوب، قال: حدثني مقاتل بن سليمان، قال: سألت جعفر ابن محمد عليهما السلام عن قول الله عزوجل: " الرحمن على العرش استوى " قال: استوى من كل شئ فليس شئ أقرب إليه من شئ
Muhammad b. Musa b. Mutawakkil narrated to us, he said: `Abdullah b. Ja`far al-Humayri narrated to us, from Ahmed b. Muhammad, from al-Hasan b. Mahbub, he said: Maqatal b. Sulayman narrated to us, who said:
I asked (Imam) Ja`far b. Muhammab, peace be upon them both, about the saying of Allah, Mighty and Exalted, “Most Gracious is firmly established on the throne.” [20:5]
He (the Imam) replied: (It means that He is) equidistant from everything, and not a single thing is nearer to Him than another.
